Murder is one of the biggest sin. Murder is when you took someone's life. What about death penalty, like in some states in USA? Well, it's part of punishment for those who committed those crimes, unless if someone is innocent and isn't given a fair trial.
But what if you have been attack by a guy with knife? Then you have the right to defend yourself. This is called self-defenses. But it will get complicated if you ended up killing your attacker, as you need to go to court and prove to them that it wasn't your fault.
