Ten Commandments 10: Don't Covet

To covet is to desire something that someone else possesses. We are not allowed to covet anything that belongs to our neighbour, according to the Tenth Commandment. The fact that this commandment deals with your heart makes it intriguing. Your heart is where coveting begins, and only you and God—especially God—know what's going on inside. It's critical that we abstain from coveting since, in addition to being wrong in and of itself, coveting can result in a host of other transgressions. Additionally, coveting is immoral because it shows a lack of gratitude for all that God has given us—and he has given us so much!
