Ten Commandments 9: Don't lie

Lying is when someone tell that is not true. Telling them a story that is fairy-tale or fictional, that is not lying, it's just a story, and people know that. When someone tells you, they are not technically lying to you, but maybe it's because to their culture or religion, it's true. If someone tell you that you think it's untrue, ask them where do they get that information from or explain what do they actually mean.

Everyone lies from time to time, but that is not God's will for us. Lying has the potential to harm not just ourselves but also others. Furthermore, if we lie, people won't trust anything we say like the boy from the story 'The Boy who cried the wolf.'

When we tell someone that God loves them, we want them to know it's true, so we need to make sure they believe and trust us.
