Two of Jesus's disciples, John and Peter, had planned the Lord's Passover.
A Jerusalem home hosted the Passover Feast.
When they were eating in the large dining room together, Jesus talked to his disciples. He expressed his excitement for this Passover Feast and his desire to share his final meal with everyone of them.
After giving thanks to the Lord and taking a loaf of bread, Jesus declared to his disciples, "This loaf of bread is my body." Jesus then took up a cup of wine and gave thanks to the Lord once again for that. With the wine in his hand, Jesus declared, "This cup of wine is my blood."
Every disciple consumed the wine and piece of bread. After this, the meal went on.
The disciples enjoyed chatting with Jesus and asking him questions, so they took their time during the lengthy celebration.
Following the dinner, Jesus showed his followers his love and desire for them to learn the importance of showing kindness to others by washing their feet.
