Gospel in Greensleeves Episode 3: Best Teacher

Bella, her six friends, and the other classmates were listening to a boy with curly black hair, telling them who was his best teacher. His best teacher was Sir Brun, a French teacher. Sir Brun had an awesome and classical accent. He was born here, but he spent most of his blissful childhood in France and he returned at age 20. That was 8 years ago. Most of Bella's classmates' best teachers were at this school or in their previous schools. After that, it was Bella's turn.

Bella got up from her chair and she walked toward the front. The students were all eager to hear who was her best teacher.

"My best teacher is Jesus." She happily smiled. Some students were often confused. Bella explained why she chose Jesus. "Jesus is the perfect teacher. His teaching can be found in the Bible. His teachings emphasise love, compassion, forgiveness, and humility. The teachings of Jesus have changed my and other countless lives." She then continued as the student listened. The more they heard about Jesus and His teacher, the more they were curious but admired Him. Bella sang a special song about Jesus.

As Bella sang a lovely hymn about Jesus, her voice filled the room and her words echoed with the wisdom and love she had spoken about. Every student's attention was drawn to the soft, calming song. There was silence as she finished, and then there was a burst of applause.

Jane, one of Bella's pals, put up her hand. "Bella, could you elaborate on the lessons that Jesus taught us? Why do you find them to be so special?

Bella nodded, excitement gleaming in her eyes. "Naturally, Jane. Jesus' teachings inspire us to love one another, which is one of my favourite things about them. He taught us to be kind to everyone, including those who may not be friendly to us, and to love our neighbours as ourselves. The concept of unconditional love has significantly altered my perspective on the world."

Another student, Jack, chimed in. “And what about forgiveness? You mentioned that too.”

“Yes, Jack,” Bella replied. “Jesus taught us the importance of forgiveness. He said that we should forgive others, not just once, but seventy times seven times. This means we should always be ready to forgive, no matter how many times someone might hurt us. It’s a powerful lesson that helps us let go of anger and find peace.”

The students listened intently, some nodding in agreement. Bella’s words sparked a genuine interest in learning more about Jesus and his teachings.

The teacher, Mr. Thompson, smiled warmly. “Thank you, Bella, for sharing such a heartfelt and inspiring message. It’s clear that Jesus has had a profound impact on your life.”

Bella returned to her seat, feeling a sense of fulfilment. She had shared something deeply personal and meaningful, and it had touched her classmates. As the lesson continued, the students couldn’t help but think about the teachings of Jesus and how they might apply them in their own lives.
