Strong Inaction

Updated: Nov 9, 2023

Lavender was offended when Ella, a student at the same California high school, teased her about not being as strong as she is in the gym. Twice her size, she is. She's about to have her retribution. What? Upon discovering her purse on the bus, she opened it and took a peek at the contents. Ella's mother's credit card and her school ID. Does she have to return it? She refuses! She thought that this was her chance to exact revenge, granted to her by God. to demonstrate to her that she is strong. What action will she take? She had intended to publish the credit card details on the internet. She's going to have serious trouble with her mother for that. She was accurate!

Lavender was furious as she sat in the blue chair. Upon noticing her, her older sister—a third-year college student—asked her why she was depressed. Lavender told her that Ella had bullied her and that she was seeking retribution while tears streamed down her cheeks. This is not a good idea, her elder sister shook her head. She then related a tale about David and Saul.

David was an adult now. He used his catapult to kill Goliath when he was a boy. David was a king now. He was not feeble. He was a formidable fighter who occasionally displayed his power by keeping it hidden.

Before David, did you know Saul the king? He felt resentful of David. He believed that David was more adored by the public than he was. He attempted David's murder.

God provided David the opportunity to exact retribution on Saul. In the hillsides, David and his soldiers were holed up in caves. With his soldiers entrenched below, Saul approached the cave on his own.

Has David murdered Saul? Take him down? Take his mom's credit card, please? Nope. Something far more powerful. He took no action. Almost, anyway. He stole the king's robbery piece by sneaking up on him. How powerful was that? He demonstrated to Saul that he had the option to do worse, but he opted not to. He had the opportunity to get revenge on Saul, but he demonstrated his strength by staying silent.

Lavender now has the opportunity to avenge Ella. to demonstrate to her her superior strength. However, how? She made the decision to love Ella as a friend and a person this time. She needs to give this back. Ella must be really concerned about misplacing these items.
