Today it's Janmashtami, which celebrates Krishna's birthday, that he was born 5000 years ago in the stroke of midnight. Krishna wasn't mentioned in the Bible. Just like we learned from the people during the Biblical era, we should also learn from people who lived during different eras.
You can take away from Krishna the following important lessons:
Dharma, or duty: Krishna stresses the significance of performing one's duties (dharma) without regard to the outcome. It is imperative to fulfil one's obligations with honesty and morality, regardless of one's own preferences.
Karma: Krishna tells us that there are repercussions for the things we do. Every action we take has an effect, and we are accountable for our actions. Thus, behave judiciously and altruistically.
Detachment: Krishna suggests distancing oneself from the worldly realm. Given that life is temporary, we should accomplish our responsibilities without becoming entangled in success or failure.
Love and Devotion: Among Krishna's light-hearted antics at Vrindavan were his adventures with the Gopis and his unwavering love for Radha. These formative encounters teach us the value of love, commitment, and appreciating the whimsical parts of life.
Flexibility and Adaptability: Krishna was a perfect example of both, from his early misadventures to his part in the Mahabharata. He demonstrated how adaptability in problem-solving is essential for development and success.
Bravery and Trust: Krishna's heavenly jollity surpasses temporal boundaries. Through accepting the teachings from his early leelas, we may face the challenges of life with bravery, trust, and happiness.
Remember just people these people are not in the story of Bible, doesn't mean they are less important. Everyone has a role to play and we can learn so much from them especially from their mistakes.
