Today is GCSE result day and all the students from across this country (UK) received their results. GCSE is an exam just like A-level. My brother got his results today and he got 8 and 9 grades from each subjects. What about mine? Well, I passed Math (grade 4) and Combined Science (grade 4), but not English (grade 3). The GCSE students need to pass three compulsory subjects (grade 4 or above), if not, then they will have the opportunity to resist the exam. If they fail the optional subjects like music, art, and languages, they can resist the exam if they want. If they pass, but don't expect it as they are aiming for higher, then they can resist the exam if they want.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, GCSE exams were cancelled. As a result, scores were determined by teacher assessments, which resulted in higher grades in 2020 and 2021.
If you're one of the GCSE students and got the results day and you got the highest grade. Congratulation! If you got a lower grade (whether it's a pass or not), then don't worry. It's not the end of the world. There's time to improve. After when you complete the GCSE exams, you can rest your body and then start studying for A-levels.
Exams are getting harder, so if you want to get an amazing grade, then it's best to revise early, because if you revise late, then you will be panicky. It's like your teacher gave you an assignment or homework and it's due in 2 weeks later, it's wise to start today, rather than later.
Asking help from tutors, parents or even students (who have completed GCSE).
Congratulation on your GCSE results. I hope you will do well in your A level.
