Today at 8 pm (UK time) England is going to play against the Netherlands in this Semi-Finals. I will write a new post telling you if England wins or not and I will write a topic similar to that.
The King James Bible has multiple verses that discuss chance and winning. Let's investigate them:
1 John 5:4-5: “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” This scripture highlights how believers can overcome obstacles and triumph because of their faith in God.
Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” This verse describes the power and encouragement that believers get from their faith in Jesus.
Luke 18:27: “And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” Jesus emphasises here how God can do things that are impossible to us.
1 Corinthians 9:25: “And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible.” This verse draws a comparison between rewards that are everlasting (an imperishable crown) and those that are earthly (a perishable crown).
The Bible recognises that chance plays a part in human events but yet exhorts readers to have trust, patience, and dependence on God.
I even wrote a poem about England, hoping to win against the Dutch on Facebook. Please check it out It's Iqra Toqeer
