Henry: Q1 is B. Moses smote the rock with his staff, and water gushed from it. Two times in the wilderness, this supernatural event took place: once at Horeb (Exodus 17:1–7) and again at Kadesh (Numbers 20:1–14).
Max the monkey: Q2 is C. Jesus was baptised at the Jordan River with the assistance of John the Baptist, a significant character in biblical history.
Henry: Q3 is B. In the New Testament, Jesus offered living water to the Samaritan woman at the well. He said, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water”
Max the monkey: Q4 is B. The king of Aram's army commander, Naaman, bathed in the Jordan River seven times in an attempt to heal himself of a skin ailment known as leprosy.
Henry: Q5 is A. In the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 14:22–33), we find this remarkable account. When the disciples saw Jesus walking on the water during a storm, Peter asked to join Him. Jesus invited Peter to step out of the boat, and for a moment, Peter also walked on the water. However, when he became afraid and doubted, he began to sink, and Jesus rescued him
Max the monkey: Q6 is true. According to the biblical account in the Book of Exodus (Exodus 14:21–22), Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the Lord caused a strong east wind to blow all night. The waters parted, creating a dry path through the sea, allowing the Israelites to cross safely. Once they were across, the waters returned to their normal state, engulfing the pursuing Egyptian army. It was a miraculous event!
Henry: Q7 is true. According to the biblical account in the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 14:22–33), Jesus walked on water during a storm. The disciples were in a boat, and when they saw Jesus approaching, they were terrified, thinking He was a ghost. But Jesus reassured them, saying, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Peter, one of the disciples, asked Jesus to command him to come to Him on the water. Peter stepped out of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. However, when he saw the strong wind, he became afraid and began to sink. Jesus reached out and caught him, saying, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” They both got into the boat, and the wind ceased.
Max the monkey: Q8 is true. There is a mystical reputation surrounding the restorative properties of the Pool of Bethesda. Every now and then, as the Gospel of John reports, an angel would descend into the pool and agitate the waters. It was thought that by agitating the pool, its therapeutic properties were activated, drawing a large number of sick and disabled people hoping for a miracle.
Henry: Q9 is true. In both the Old and New Testaments, the Jordan River is very important. It was crucial to the Israelites' trip when they passed into the Promised Land in the Old Testament, following Joshua's leadership. Furthermore, according to the New Testament, John the Baptist baptised Jesus at the Jordan River.
Max the monkey: Q10 is true. Jesus commanded Peter to go after a fish, promising that the first one he caught would have enough money in its mouth to cover both Peter's and Jesus' taxes. The first fish he caught included a coin worth four drachmas in its mouth—enough to cover the taxes.
