Bible Glory Games Season 1 Episode 8: Elijah (A-Z series)

Henry: Hello I'm Henry

Max the monkey: And I'm Max

Henry: And this is Bible Glory Games

Max the monkey: Today topic is Elijah

Henry: Question one. Elijah once commanded fire to descend from heaven and consume fifty men. When another group of fifty men approached him, he also commanded fire to descend upon them. Why, in 2 Kings 1:10–16, were the next fifty men spared the same fate? Is it A) God had no justification for answering a third time. B) Elijah was overpowered and captured by them. C) The commanding captain implored Elijah to show him mercy. D) Elijah ran away as a massive army drew near.

Max the monkey: Question two. What promise did Elisha pull out of Elijah during their journey together, right before Elijah was carried up to heaven in a blazing chariot drawn by fiery horses? 2:1–14 in 2 Kings. A) That his whole family would be blessed by Elijah. B) That later on Elijah would send him the identical chariot. C) Elisha was to anticipate 200 talents of gold. D) That Elijah's spirit would be given to Elisha in double doses.

Henry: As witnessed in 2 Kings 2:19–22, Elisha's first miracle ever documented was a container full of salt. With this salt, what did he do? A) He used it to preserve some beef. B) He tossed it into a water spring. C) He made a rod out of it. D) He gave it to a guy who went on to become king.

Max the monkey: When pigs are in the air... If monkeys were taught to sew... When iron is buoyant... Hold on a second! When Elisha was present, iron DID float once. What action did he take that made an iron object float to the Jordan River's surface? (2 Kings 6:1–7). A) He launched a stick into the liquid. B) He placed the iron on a raft that he discovered. C) He whispered to God a few private words. D) He filled the river with vinegar.

Henry: A prophet of Israel named Elijah was sent by God once to help a starving mother and her son; however, God also supplied Elijah with security because the king and queen of Israel were upset with him for foretelling that there would not be rain for three and a half years. Which region of the Mediterranean did Elijah travel to, meet these two people, and spend some time with them? (1 Kings 17:9)A) Baghdad (modern-day Iraq) B) Zarephath (modern-day Lebanon) C) Ancyra (modern-day Turkey) D) Tarabulus (modern-day Libya)

Max the monkey: For true or false. Q1. Elisha and Elijah both performed resurrections.

Henry: Q2. Elijah summoned four hundred Asherah prophets to Mount Carmel in order to challenge the prophets of Baal with a sacrifice.

Max the monkey: Q3. Elijah was sleeping in the wilderness and wanted to die when ravens woke him up for food.

Henry: Q4. Elijah initially saw the widow of Zarephath when she was gathering hay.

Max the monkey: Last one. Elijah was an epileptic.

Henry: For the answers. The first one is C. Elijah saved the third set of fifty men after they humbly prayed for mercy, and the Lord's angel told Elijah to accompany them (2 Kings 1:10-16).

Max the monkey: The second one is A. Elijah pledged to satisfy Elisha's request for a double share of his spirit if she witnesses him being taken up (2 Kings 2:1–14).

Henry: The third one is also A. The waters of Jericho were cured when Elisha put salt into a spring (2 Kings 2:19–22).

Max the monkey: The fourth one is D. The iron axe head floated to the surface when Elisha tossed a stick into the water (2 Kings 6:1-7).

Henry: The last one is B. In modern-day Lebanon, Elijah travelled to Zarephath and met the widow and her son (1 Kings 17:9).

Max the monkey: The first one from true or false is true.Elisha and Elijah both performed resurrections. The son of the widow was raised by Elijah (1 Kings 17:17–24), and the son of the Shunammite lady was raised by Elisha (2 Kings 4:18–37).

Henry: The second one is True. Elijah issued a challenge to the prophets of Baal to a contest on Mount Carmel in 1 Kings 18:16–29. He challenged Israel to make a decision between the Lord and Baal in the presence of the prophets of Baal. They made preparations for sacrifices, and the true God would be the one who responded with fire.

Max the monkey: The third one is false. God dispatched Elijah to the brook Cherith, where he was fed by ravens, according to 1 Kings 17:1–7. God kept him alive throughout a period of famine and drought even though he did not want to die.

Henry: The fourth one is also false. Elijah first saw the widow of Zarephath picking sticks rather than hay. Elijah begged her for bread and drink in 1 Kings 17:8–16, and God miraculously provided for both of them.

Max the monkey: The last one is false. The Bible contains no evidence that Elijah experienced epilepsy. He was a strong God-servant and a prophet.

Henry: We hope that you love that games

Max the monkey: And we will see you soon

Both: (Waving their hands)
