Why the Ascension of Jesus Christ is significant?

It marked the conclusion of His earthly career. After sending His Son into the world at Bethlehem out of love, God the Father was now expecting the Son to return to Him. Human limitation was coming to an end.

It represented accomplishment in His work on earth. He had fulfilled every purpose for which He had come.

It signified His celestial glory's reappearance. During His earthly ministry, Jesus' splendour was hidden, save for a fleeting moment at the Transfiguration.

It enabled Him to set up a location for us.

The stage was set for His reappearance. Jesus will truly, physically, and visibly arrive in the clouds when He returns to establish the Kingdom.

Demonstrates the deity of Christ.

His Spirit fills the church to overflowing.

Permits the Spirit of Truth, another Helper sent by Jesus, to arrive
