Is criticising others appropriate? Let's first see, then.
Jesus conversed and spent time with individuals who some churchgoers viewed as evil. Jesus faced criticism for being affectionate towards them.
People occasionally make poor decisions and simply need someone to be a beacon of hope. Sayings such as "You're a terrible person. By tomorrow, make a change in your life." Who would say that, and why? Encourage them instead. In 1 Thessalonians 5:11 "Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do." When the time is right, yet still with love, tell them the truth. This light is affectionate.
Being critical is dangerous. Jesus warned us about judging people. In Matthew 7:4-5 "Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?" and "Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."
You shouldn't be worried about accusing others when you got some things going on in your life .
Do you remember when Peter denied Jesus 3 times? He knew Jesus well.
Jacob again stole from his twin brother but God forgave him and named the whole nation of Israel after him.
