The word 'saved' mean to be save from all danger, like plague or enemies. In the Bible, it said how to be saved. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
The word "perish" mean die, so if you believe that God sent his Son, Jesus to save us from our sin, you will not die. And when I mean 'die', I mean that you will not go to hell after you die.
God is holy and perfect, he doesn't allowed sin in Heaven, even the smallest. Even if you committed only one sin, you will not enter Heaven. Everyone sinned, that's what the Bible said in Romans 3:23.
The only one you can be saved is the blood of Jesus Christ. That's it. It's not hard. What about good works? Good works is a sign of faith.
Accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour before you died or before Jesus' second coming.
