Halloween

Updated: Oct 31, 2023

Since I've already written about Halloween, let's review and consider what Christians ought to do if they choose to observe the holiday.

Originally, it was a pagan holiday. The three-day pagan feast that was Samhain as a Celtic custom. The Celts held the belief that deceased people's souls might return and roam the planet.

In an attempt to supersede the heathen customs, the Church scheduled the commemoration of Christian martyrs during Lent, but in the process, they blended together to become All Hallows Eve or Halloween.

If you plan to trick-or-treat that evening, you can make a list of the spookiest Halloween-related objects, such as ghosts and zombies. Whatever the terrifying situation, Jesus has you covered.

Remind yourself that you have the light of Christ when you go trick or treating. He will assist you in overcoming evil.
