World Singing Day

Everyone loves to sing a song, even while playing an instrument. There are Bible verses that talk about singing.

Psalm 95:1: "O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation." This verse invites us to express our gratitude and joy through singing, recognizing God's strength and salvation.

Colossians 3:16: "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." This reminds believers to use music to teach, encourage, and worship, filling their hearts with grace.

Ephesians 5:19: "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord." This verse encourages making music in our hearts as worship and self-expression.

Psalm 96:1: "O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth." This verse calls on everyone to sing a fresh and joyful song to the Lord.

Psalm 104:33: "I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being." A personal commitment to praising God through song throughout one’s life.

Isaiah 12:5: "Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth." Encourages singing to the Lord in gratitude for His wonderful deeds.

James 5:13: "Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms." James 5:13 encourages those who are suffering to pray and those who are joyful to sing songs of praise. Essentially, it’s saying to turn to God in both hard times and happy moments.

So, singing is also part of worship, if you sing for the glory of God. There are amazing gospel songs and you can sing them along.
