Today it is Odd Sock Day and it has something to do with anti-bullying. Children and adults wear socks that don't match to show support to those who have been bullied or are still being prey.
What is a bully? Bully is a person that physically hurts others simply because they are better than others. Bullying is not okay.
If you are being bullied, you must stay strong and try to ignore it. Tell the teacher, parents or any grownups if it got worse. Stay away from the place where you might think that the bully will be there. Bully won't bully you if the teacher is here.
How to tell whether someone is bullying you or is teasing you?
You have to listen to their words carefully. If they say a word or phrase that you never heard from them for the first time and they are only teasing you, that's okay, but if they repeat it again, 3 times or more, and they again say they are only teasing you, then they are not teasing. This bullying.
Why would a bully, bully you or others in the first place?
There are various reasons. You might be surprised, that maybe before they met you and started to bully you, they might, by chance, they could be bullied as well, and they are afraid that you might be their predator. Show kindness to them. Or maybe it's where they were raised. For example, when the Covid-19 hit the world, people bullied the Chinese or anyone who looked like it, as it came from China.
So in case you are wondering should you do the same, to let them taste their own medicine? No! Taking revenge is never a good idea. Tell an adult, they can deal with them. If you ask your teacher, they will, probably, send your bully to the principal office or give them a dentition. That's fair punishment.
Remember, bullying can be found on the internet, so if you see a video or photo of it and you might be sure that it is cruel, report it. Don't take it as a joke.
I forgot to mention, I am wearing too. You can see this picture of my socks.
