The Rebellion

I'm pretty sure that you have watched the news or read the paper about the rebellion in Syria against the current prime minister Assad. Today, Assad had fled Damascus (capital of Syria) and the rebels are celebrating it. But why those people rebelled against the government. For that, we need to go back where it started.

There are tons of reasons, like facing an economic challenges, including high unemployment and poverty. The lack of political freedom and absence of democratic processes led to widespread frustration among the population. This isn't the only rebellion. There are many rebellion even in the Bible. What will happen to Assad? I don't know.

Is rebellion always a good thing? That depend on the person. Before you decided to rebelled against someone who is charge of you like your parents, teachers, kings or queens or government, you need to ask yourself few questions. Rebellion against God is a bad idea. To be honest people aren't perfect even if they in charged. You might asked yourself if I rebelled against this person, will I rebelled against God.

Rebellion can lead to violence, on the other hand it could lead to peaceful. If you lived in a country that was under a colonial rule, like Greece and Albania under the Ottoman Empire, Lebanon under the French, India under the British, Argentina under the Spanish and other countries, the people of the past might have rebelled against the colony rule. I will give you an examples

In 1858 India rebelled against the British East Company because of the less tolerant and insult of religion, specially Hindus and Muslims. The India lost and the British East Company was no longer, so then for nearly 100 hundreds India was under the British Raj until 1947.

In 60AD, when Britain was under the Roman Empire. Boudicca the queen of the Iceni, rebelled against the Roman Empire after the Romans took her land, flogged her, raped her daughters. Boudicca's rebellion was bit crazy and mad. Boudica and the tribes of Britain lost and Britain was under the Roman Empire for next 300 hundreds years.

People from both sides died, and we need to be careful when rebelling. We don't want any children to get killed just because they belonged to a person or countries that we are rebellion against.

Have you heard three men named Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. According to the Book of Daniel, the king made a huge statue of himself made of gold and said that everyone need to bow down and if they don't, they will be thrown into blazing furnace of fire. Three men weren't like 'Well this is it boys.' and grabbed their swords and started to fight people in the crowd. They were like 'King. We cannot do this.' that's rebellion. Three men were thrown into a blazing furnace of fire and they survived because God had saved them.

Before you decided to rebelled, asked yourself and think how you want to rebelled.
