Bella adored gardening. She was in her fairy friend's mother's garden, where Flower's mother fluttered her wings with pride and joy. Bella carried her yellow watering can. Her mother left. Bella exclaimed to herself, "I'm so excited!" She entered the greenhouse.
Bella began to sing a cheerful song while watering the plants. Much to her surprise, the plants began to sing back. Amused by their voices, she joined in and laughed. The plants grew larger with each drop of water. Startled but intrigued, Bella continued to water them. As she did, the plants kept singing louder and growing even more. Some began to sprout petals.
Panicked, Bella hurriedly texted Jane. Jane arrived quickly. "What's going on?"
"I don't know. I was just watering the plants and now they won't stop growing or singing!"
Jane examined the watering can and pointed. "Your watering can! It must have some magic in it."
"What do we do?" Bella asked.
Jane turned on the sprinklers. As the water sprayed, the plants returned to their normal size and sighed with relief. Bella’s mother returned and gently warned Bella not to overwater the plants before happily leaving again.
Bella and Jane stood amongst the now-quiet plants. "You know," Jane said thoughtfully, "this reminds me of a gospel lesson. Just like the plants, sometimes we all get a bit overzealous when given too much of a good thing."
Bella nodded, contemplating the plants. "And it's our job to recognize when enough is enough."
Together, they tidied the greenhouse, reflecting on their adventure. They realized that balance is key, in both magic and life. With everything back to normal, they left the garden, grateful for the lesson learned.
