In the time of the Judges the Philistines were a constant threat to the Israelites and God decided to bring forth a warrior in order to defend them. Samson. In order to show his dedication to God, Samson vowed to never drink wine or cut his hair. Prophet Samuel took a similar vow and so do Paul for a short period of time.
God gave Samson super strength. He fought the Philistines plenty of times. He actually once took out a thousand warriors with just a donkey's job. He's like Superman or Hulk. Samson did get angry, but he didn't turned green.
Later on Samson fell in love with the Philistines woman. Samson didn't really care about it. Early in the story, he tried to marry her. Her name was Delilah and she asked him to tell her the secret of his strength. At first he didn't then he did. She cut his hair, his strength went away and he was captured. Samson wanted her because she was right in his eyes.
