Today it's Remembrance Sunday. Yesterday was Remembrance Day.
Every year on the second Sunday in November, Remembrance Sunday offers an additional chance to honour those who have sacrificed their lives.
If you don't know what is Remembrance Sunday.
Armistice Day was shifted to the Sunday before November 11th, 1942, during World War Two, in an effort to reduce logistical disruptions. After World War II, preparations were made to honour the dead and make sure they would not be forgotten. This was because November 11th, which is closely linked to World War I, was the only date that ceremonies could be performed on. Armistice Day became known as Remembrance Day, but the Archbishop of Westminster suggested designating the second Sunday in November as Remembrance Sunday.
The Bible tell to remember the past, even if you don't like it. Just like Remembrance Day, we shall honour and respect the fallen tributes. We should be thankful for those who fought for their country, including mine and yours.
