National Candy Day

Today it is National Candy Day! Candy is an American word, for us British we would call it sweet, we do sometimes say sweetie when talking to a child. If you are an Australian it will be a lollipop, for us lollipops is a sweet with a stick.

Even though candy is tasty and everyone especially Christians and Hindus want to eat it, they do need to be careful as some contain that they aren't allowed because of their health or their religion.

If someone has diabetes it wouldn't be wise for them to eat too much candy, if you have it is best to check with a doctor first. If a person is a Muslim or a Jew, they can't have candy if it contains gelatin which is from pig. If a person is a Hindu, remember most of them are Vegetarian, so they prefer candy that is vegan, if there's a V sign.

There's nothing wrong with eating candy, but don't eat too much. Remember to brush your teeth.

Proverbs 24:13- My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:

Proverbs 25:16- Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.
