Today it's Chinese New Years. Supporting friends during their cultural celebrations is a wonderful way to show love and respect. Here are some ways Christians can support their Chinese friends during Chinese New Year, along with some KJV Bible verses to inspire and guide:

Learn About the Festival: Take the time to understand the significance of Chinese New Year and its traditions. This shows genuine interest and respect for their culture.

"A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!" (Proverbs 15:23)

Join the Celebrations: Participate in the festivities if invited. Enjoy the food, decorations, and activities with your friends.

"Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep." (Romans 12:15)

Give Thoughtful Gifts: Red envelopes with money, known as "hongbao," are traditional gifts during Chinese New Year. You can also give other thoughtful gifts that show you care.

"Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver." (2 Corinthians 9:7)

Offer Words of Blessing: Share kind words and blessings for the new year. You can write a card or simply express your good wishes.

"Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones." (Proverbs 16:24)

Respect Their Traditions: Be mindful of their customs and traditions. Show respect for their practices, even if they are different from your own.

"Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king." (1 Peter 2:17)

Pray for Them: Offer prayers for their health, happiness, and prosperity in the new year.

"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men." (1 Timothy 2:1)
