Bible Glory Games Season 1 Episode 11: Heaven and Hell (A-Z series)

Henry: Hello I'm Henry

Max the monkey: And I'm Max

Henry: Welcome to Bible Glory Games

Max the monkey: Today topic is Heaven and Hell

Round one

Henry: Q1. You then declare, "I'd rather go to hell and be with my friends than go to heaven and spend all of eternity with all those 'churchy' hypocrite types!" Why does Mark 9:43 seem to cast some doubt on this line of reasoning? A) People who attend church are not hypocrites at all, B) Hell is a place of agony rather than enjoyment and games, C) God is not really concerned with your actions or D) The devil will let you enjoy yourself to the fullest.

Max the monkey: Q2. Heaven is going to be so boring! Who wants to spend all of eternity sitting about on a cloud and playing the harp? Where in the Bible is this account of this activity that will take place in heaven later on? A) Isaiah, B) Hebrews, C) Revelation or D) The Bible doesn't contain it

Henry: Q3. Jesus once conversed with his followers; during one particular part of the conversation, he spoke to Simon Peter. He told Peter that He would give him the keys to the heavenly kingdom. Why were the keys necessary, as stated in Matthew 16:19? A) They would make it possible for the disciples to enter any synagogue in Israel, B) They would be able to lock and unlock objects both on earth and in heaven, C) They were made to open church doors or D) When used appropriately, they could work miracles

Max the monkey: Q4. Certain accounts in Luke are interpreted as literal events by some, while parables—stories meant to impart a lesson in a figurative sense—are held by others to be true. But before we start that conversation, I would want to pose the following question: Given that Lazarus was in the "bosom of Abraham" and the wealthy man was in hell, what favour did the rich man ask Abraham to perform for him in the story of the "rich man and the beggar named Lazarus"? (Luke 16:19–31) A) He desired Lazarus to temporarily free him from torment; ,B) Lazarus to bring him water and bear witness for his brothers ,C) Lazarus to switch places with him; or D) Lazarus to offer prayers on his behalf.

Round 2

Henry: Q5. The book of Revelation describes "Heaven" as having gates adorned with numerous pearls, streets paved with gold, and an ethereal chorus of angels that sing constantly. Is it true or false?

Max the monkey: Q6. Isaiah 5:14 in the King James Version states that hell has grown wider since it was first created as a place of retribution and suffering. Is it true or false?

Henry: Q7. Is it true that the living God has a city called "heavenly Jerusalem" that is set apart for the church of His firstborn, Jesus Christ, according to Hebrews 12:22–24?

Answers

Max the monkey: Q1. The answer is D. According to Mark 9:43, Jesus warns about hell as a place of torment, not a fun hangout with friends. The line of reasoning that it’s better to be in hell with friends is indeed doubtful.

Henry: Q2. The correct answer is C. The description of heaven as sitting on clouds playing harps isn’t explicitly in the Bible. However, Revelation does describe heavenly activities, including worship and reigning with Christ.

Max the monkey: Q3. The right answer is B. In Matthew 16:19, Jesus gives Peter the keys to the kingdom of heaven, symbolizing authority to bind and loose.

Henry: Q4. The accurate answer is also B. In Luke 16:19-31, the rich man asks Abraham to send Lazarus to warn his brothers about hell.

Max the monkey: Q5. The answer is true. Revelation describes heavenly streets of gold, gates adorned with pearls, and angelic choirs.

Henry: For Q6 it is also true. According to Isaiah 5:14, hell enlarges itself to accommodate more people.

Max the monkey: For the last one it is true. Hebrews 12:22-24 speaks of the heavenly Jerusalem reserved for believers.

Henry: Thank you for joining our games
